Survivor Flips
PokerKing is launching a new format! From February 5 to 23, a tournament with a buy-in of $230 and $500,000 GTD will be held. Win the flip and you will immediately get into the ITM. The best part: the flip takes less than 5 minutes. The tournament consists of two phases.
Phase 1: Flip
- Buy-in. You can qualify through step satellites from $4 or buy-in straight away for $260.
- Game Start. The tournament starts as soon as 8 players have registered. The timer starts.
- Discard 1 of 3 cards. Each player receives 3 cards face down. You have 20 seconds to discard one.
- Survival Round. After each player has discarded 1 card, the flop, turn, and river are dealt. Players with the worst hand are eliminated. Flip continues until there is 1 player left at the table — he enters Phase 2
Tip: Don’t hesitate to choose which card to discard. If you don’t have time to choose one, the lowest card will be automatically folded.ld. If you don’t have time to choose one, the lowest card will be folded automatically.
How to get into Phase 1
Players have two options:
- Step satellites with buy-ins starting at $4. Complete a few steps to get into Phase 1.
- Or enter Phase 1 directly for $230.
Phases 1 will be running 24/7. You can enter at any time. Remember that you cannot directly enter Phase 2 – there is no direct buy-in, only through Phase 1.
Phase 2: Tournament
- No direct buy-in. Only players who qualify through Flips participate.
- Phase 2 starts on February 23 at 2:05pm ET.
- Each player starts with an equal stack.
- Prize pool = $500,000. All players start ITM.
How to find Survivor Flips
- Look for “Survivor Flips” in the Tournaments tab of your poker client.
- Phase 2 will be pinned to the Tournaments tab. Click on the tournament to see the Steps and Phases 1.
